Charlie Design’s motto of “Let’s Engage Socially” combined with a proactive involvement in the new social media and networking technologies ensures communication methods remain contemporary, fluid and proactive. By using social media techniques we are able to provide valuable data and insights from community members and stakeholders with reporting back to management. Essentially we embed and become your “front line” communication management team, improving overall customer service.

As a Media and Communication Consultant, Charlie-Helen is accountable for the effective analysis, development and delivery of business wide and stakeholder communications. With a strong network of followers “Charlie” provides knowledge and experience in relation to communications (internal and external), social media and networking, stakeholder and public relations, community engagement and consultation, traditional media and advertising, sponsorship and event management, website management including mobile communications and internet research.

Social media and networking is still relatively new for business however it is a collective term where like-minded people share, care, learn, interact and engage for personal or business benefit. The impact, risks and benefits for business are only now emerging.

Each communication medium has its own best practices and guidelines for company, community, client and stakeholder behaviour and participation.

Communities and dedicated groups built include the Social[Media]Butterflies and Dead Reds Wine Group.

Social [Media] Butterflies
Inspirations to help people, experiment, have fun, demonstrate and also raise awareness about Social Media in South Australia. We are a collective of expertise from areas such as corporate, business, government, youth, home, sales, marketing and public relations. Each are unique, individual, talented and socially networked.

Social media is media designed to be disseminated through social interaction, created using highly accessible and scalable publishing techniques. Social media can take many different forms, including Internet forums, weblogs, social blogs, wikis, podcasts, pictures, video, rating and social bookmarking. Technologies include: blogs, picture-sharing, vlogs, wall-postings, email, instant messaging, music-sharing, crowdsourcing, and voice over IP, to name a few.

Dead Reds Wine Group
As the founder and owner of the Dead Reds Wine Group – a group committed to unearthing great old wine – all elements of communications through to social media interaction is put into action. The group is 450 members strong, and has been active on Adelaide’s social scene for over two years with sister groups starting in Canada and America.
